Tutorial Tuesday - Woven Accordian
Supplies:
paper cutter
scissors
exacto knife
pattern paper
plain coloured cardstock
Trim plain cardstock to 10" x 8"
Place cardstock horizontally and score at 2 1/2", 5" and 7 1/2"
Mark a spot, down the centre 5" score line, at 2", 4" and 6"
Carefully cut slits in the cardstock from 2" score line to 5" score line, and then from the 5" score line to 7 1/2" score line. Do not cut into the score lines. Cut just to the edges.
This is what your cardstock will look like. Solid lines reflect cut lines, and dashes reflect score lines.
Cut pattern paper 8" x 2 15/16. You will be cutting the width just slightly narrower than your 2" cuts.
Place pattern paper back-to-back. Trim uneven edges with an exacto knife.
Weave pattern paper through cut lines.
Glue pattern papers together at the edges where the paper is sitting loosely. Adhere patterned paper to plain coloured cardstock. You are now ready to decorate your card.
Cardstock: Old Olive, Almost Mustard, Taken With Teal, Bravo Burgundy, Ivory, Magnolia DP
Stamps: Fancy Pants, Heidi Swapp
Accessories: Prima flowers, coloured gems, ribbon, flower punch, brads.
