Welcome to another edition of Sunflowers and Dragonflies Tutorial Tuesday. Last week I showed you how to create with recycled coasters. Today I am going to show you another variation of that card, but this time the card/booklet will have a spine.
Double sided tape
2 Restaurant coasters (3 1/2 x 3 1/2)
2-4" x 4" designer paper for covers
2-3 1/2" x 3 1/2" paper for inside of coaster book
1-3" x 12" piece of cardstock for spine
4-3" x 3 " white cardstock for images
Tape coaster in the centre of the 4 x 4 paper. Cut the corners of the designer paper, leaving a little bit of paper on the paper cut. Do not cut right up to the coaster.
Place double sided tape around the edges of the coaster and tac the paper down.
Place 3" x 12" paper spine onto your Scor Pal, or paper cutter with a score blade and score at 2", 4", 6" and 8".
This is what your paper will look like after it is scored.
Place double sided tape on the outside edges of the spine and tac down onto the wrong side of the coasters.
Using the remaining 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" designer paper, tac down securely to cover the inside of the coaster.
Now you can get really creative. Pull out your 3" x 3" white cardstock.
Stamp images onto cardstock and colour as desired.
Tac your paper onto the spine. Here, I used glue dots on the left side of the image.
Glue dots will be placed on both edges of your second image. Match the outside edges before tacking down your right side onto the spine.
