A True Friend is You Friend

Happy Friday to you. I had a wonderful week. How about you? One of the exciting things I did over the past week was a shopping trip for me. Me, me, me. It was all about me! With all the excitement, I'll bet you are saying, "oh, that must mean she went stamp shopping." Yes indeedie I did! London (one hour from me), has the nicest rubberstamp store I have ever been in, and I only discovered it 1 1/2 years ago. I won't even begin to tell you how much moola they have graciously accepted from me--LOL.

The first thing that greeted me at the door was Suzy Toronto. Well, not Suzy herself, but her stamps. Her slogan is "...feel the tingle." I don't need to tell you I was feel'n just that! Suzy's style is funky and happy -- just like me. Can't you see how nice her stamps are to use with Tombow markers? I can see a lot of watercolouring going on in my studio over the next while.

I finally got to meet Janine, who works at the store. She doesn't work weekends, which is when I usually visit Stamp Art. Janine's cards are pretty creative. She just announced her acceptance onto the American Art Stamp design team. Lucky them!

Guess I got off track a little bit. I'm really talkative today, aren't I?! So--after I watercoloured my image, I painted the image with Twinkling H2O's.

This was an image that spoke to me (shhh)--perfect to use on my girlfriend's birthday cards. You may recognize the sentiment from Stampin' Up. It comes from the True Friends set.

Okay, I best get going. I'm on my way to meet up in Michigan with my girlfriends from the Stamp Shack. Every six to eight weeks we get together at a scrapbook store to create cards and scrapbook. If I'm not too tired, I'll stay until the store closes at midnight. It's an hour drive back home, and to stay awake I go through Starbucks, crank up the tunes and bee bop all the way home.

Have yourself a fabulous weekend. Enjoy the first weekend of summer.

Oooh nice, what could be better than a stamp shopping trip? Janine's store looks amazing - I only wish we had one down here but I am working on my LCC!!

Anyway, I love that stamp, very hippie-chic and your colouring is spot-on!
