Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow

Snow, you say? Yes! This summer and fall has been so dang hot that we (DH, friends and children), are crying for cooler temps, and thankfully we got our wish this week. I'm not sure if it is because we are used to colder temps, but enough is enough already!

Something about this card says, "nestle up with a cozy sweater and hot chocolate." My kind of evening.

My dear blogging friend, Corie, recently had a Christmas card swap and this is what I made. Actually, I ended up making 35 of these babies so I could give my mom some to send out at Christmas time. Oh, and by the way, did you notice that my tree says 74 days until Christmas?

These were a joy to make. I knew I was going to use Cool Caribbean, and worked my design around that. The inside was stamped with a sentiment, and the back was stamped with trees, birds and stars. Trees were cut with a Cricut, and snowflakes were punched. Stickles were added to the snowmen scarves and each snowflake. Stamps are "It's Snow Time." Detailed instructions follow. Have a great weekend, and thanks for stopping by!

Cut a 11 x 5 ¼ piece of Cool Caribbean and score at 2 ¾ from each end.

For gate fold cut 2 4/8 x 5 1/8 black cardstock. Layer a 2 ¼ x 4 ¾ white cardstock on top (cut corners with decorative scissors before adhering). Add blue stickles to corners where the white cardstock was cut away.

Cut watercolour paper 2 ½ x 2, stamp image, and watercolour with Tombow markers. Add stickles to scarves. Adhere to left hand gate.

Die cut trees are cut with a Cricut and snowflakes are cut from punches. Use clear stickles on the snowflakes. Add snowflakes around gates.
