SCS Challenge Monday

Today I'm displaying a softer side of me; the number of comments have been down so I am taking that as a sign that I need to stop with the shopping bags and bright colours for a while. That said, let me introduce my Tapestry card. Monday's challenge at Splitcoast Stampers was to use the Tapestry technique which you can find here. For this card, I smooshed Perfect Plum as well as VersaMagic's Spring Pansy and Pixy Dust to give an appearance of a sun set. Once dry, I stamped French Flair with ColorBox Frost White and embossed with Seafoam White. The directions for the technique called for clear embossing powder, but my background colours were too pale to show off the stamped image if I used clear. The words, "Thank You" were stamped on white and matted on pink. The larger image was matted onto purple and pink. The corners of the top layer were cut with decorative scissors to allow for brads in each corner. Finally, ribbon was used for the finishing touch. Have a great day, and thanks for stopping by.

Wow Beth. . .I love the colors that you used. I've never tried this technique and I'm still yet to use that stamp. Still haven't used it since buying it. Your card inspires me to try out the tapestry technique.

Thank you for sharing you lovely card!
